Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study, we will dive into the first 11 chapters of Genesis by following three critical stages of understanding: comprehension, interpretation, and application. Loose Leaf Class- Room 100
The Loose Leaf class normally rotates from a book of the Bible to a history that helps put the Bible in context and then to a book of theology/inspiration that helps us think about the Bible. We will be reading: Susan E. Hylen’s, Finding Phoebe: What New Testament Women Were Really Like (2023). Hylen is a professor of New Testament studies at Emory and a PCUSA elder. All are invited to join us as we try to put the Bible in context and to address the still relevant topic of the role of women in the church.
